Mission to Burma
This is a ministry that has already born much fruit, as you can see from the pictures. It is one which is working in partnership with our radio and Teaching ministries. Here are some accomplishments:
- We have embarked on a project to clean up the translation of the Judson Bible in Burma. This is the classic Bible there and considered one of the best translation in any foreign language. But over the years error have crept into the copy. Untrained Burmese have attempted to type out Judson’s Bible by hand and their is missing scripture and many errors. We have put together a team of Burmese pastors and Christians to go the entire Bible and compare to the original Judson manuscripts. They are reading and listening to the audio of the Bible. It will go through many iterations and levels of oversight prior to completion. For the first time ever Burma will have a corrected and clean copy of the Holy Scriptures which we will make available to anyone.
- 1000s of Bibles, Gospel tracts, and teaching materials have been distributed to new believers , unbelievers and Pastors from the East to the West to the North and South and the borders of Myanmar. We have received so many “thank you’s” from people who may have never seen or been able to get a Bible or needed the tracts or teaching materials. Currently
- 10,000 Bibles are waiting for shipment to Burma at BEAMS, paid for and printed.
- Our printer in Japan is ready to print 10,000 more of the new corrected text for Burma. We are all excited and waiting for this history making event.
- In 2014 I wrote the book “The Deity of Christ” and 1000s have been distributed inside Burma and on the border between Burma and Thailand. It is being distributed to seminaries, churches, believers, and unbelievers alike. Perfect timing as the cults, Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses as well as what Jude 1:4 warns “certain men crept in unawares…ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ”. It is now being updated and re-translated by a Burmese Pastor, DMin in Arizona and we will print 1000s more when that is done.
- We were blessed with getting the original text of Adoniram Judson’s first witnessing tract for his first convert in Myanmar. We retranslated it, updated it and printing 1000s. It has been used throughout the country and on the border.
- We completed an amazing 20 page Gospel booklet using art paper, with 40 color pictures, with the Gospel from Genesis to the ascension, including how to live the Christian life after salvation. It is beautiful and very well received. We have printed 10s of 1000s of these and plan many more. You can access copies of some of our publications under “MEDIA” in the menu on this website.
